Stelvio National Park

This stretches across the provinces of Sondrio, Bolzano, Brescia and Trento and covers 130,000 hectares. Its geographical centre is the Ortles-Cevedale range. The human settlements fit perfectly into the natural environment and many animal species live in the park, including ungulates, marmots, squirrels, capercaillies, eagles, kestrels, eagle owls, woodpeckers, partridges, reptiles, trout, char, frogs and salamanders. It is seven visitors centres.
