A family and their dream

The town of Commezzadura could turn into hotel grounds many agricultural lands through the creation of the new Daolasa-Val Mastellina Skistation.
Immediately seems Giorgio Callegari attracted by this fact and opportunity and in fact, decides to buy in 2005 the ground where will be built the Benny Bio Hotel.
The next two years are devoted to implementing projects and obtaining the building permits.
With a few months late, in March 2007 finally the excavations begins.
At the end of April the foundations are lain.
about one month after the concrete floor is ready to support the 4-story wood hotel.
On June 15 arrive trucks with the first walls in PEFC certified wood and, with the help of a crane operated by Gianmarco, the ground floor is assembled.
After only two weeks the first two floors are already built.
The crane works more than 10 hours per day: at the end of July the roof of the first hotel block is built.
Here are our first guests!!!
In the first week of September is built the hotel’s front.
In the meantime, the plumbing and electrical system within are installed. At this stage the workers are helped by Sebastiano.
The first season’s snow is falling and because of low temperatures all jobs are temporarily suspended.
at the end of winter the jobs start again.
Wood and ceramic pavements are lain.
It’s summer (2008) and the first details and finishes are visible.
When furnitures arrive also the rooms begin to take shape.
08/08/2008: Due to the sudden and untimely death of the creator of this arduous undertaking (papà Giorgio), all works stop completely.
For the family begins a steep and winding path, between many difficulties.
Because of the well known slow bureaucracy the works are at a standstill for 8 months.
After having taken stock of the situation and especially after having decided to complete the work and open the hotel, everything starts again.
Countless are contingencies but in November is the opening finally decided for December the 4th (2009), that coincide with the opening of the skilifts.
In a rush has the family to find the employees which, thanks to their experience, will help for the opening and management of the Benny Bio Hotel.
